My Favorite and least favorite Spring 2011 fashion shows

My favorite fashion show for spring 2011 was Dolce and Gabbana. The show was very cute and sweet. The fabrics were very light and flowy. There were lots of ruffles and lace. It was super girly and very reminiscent of the days when we were 4 playing at the park. I loved it a lot. Everything was on point, from the hair, the makeup, and the styling.  I give it two thumbs way up.

The show that I not so much liked was Prada. I have loved Prada’s previous collections but I really disliked this collection. Although the collection was very artistic and modern I felt it lacked pretty. Every outfit was 1 bright color which in most cases is fine with me but these super brights gave me a migraine. After the migraine, everything went downhill from there. A lot of the pieces looked like hospital scrubs, which is never flattering and for some reason Amelia Air heart decided to volunteer as a nurse because her goggle glasses showed up all over this show. The hair and makeup was okay yet I was a bit confused with the 30s hairstyle and crazy 80s – 90s makeup. These weren’t even the worse of my headaches. For some reason, the models were carrying these big, colorful raccoon tales. Along with the raccoons, some borrowed their grandma’s hat and painted it in bright colors. Things still got worse for me, as there was no light at the end of this tunnel. Models began to sport big, bulky Hawaiian shirts that your mid life crisis grandfather vacationing in Mexico probably has. The shoes were okay but wait, the misery continues when all black and ruffles came from the neon bright shadows. I don’t know many women who would wear any of the pieces from the Prada spring 2011 collection. I don’t know anybody who is going to like it and I really hope Prada steps it up next time.

$78 Marc Jacobs Jeans

The king of grungy quirk has done it again. Marc Jacobs has designed cute and chic and super cheap jeans for his more affordable line, Jacobs by Marc Jacobs. The jeans are pre shredded and are cut like boyfriend jeans. I'm in love with these jeans.

Alexander Mcqueen laptop case

The new thing released by my fave brand. This is a piece both practical and stylish, unfortunately it's not a fashion piece. It's a laptop case, kinda random, but it looks super cool.

DIY cutoff chucks

So I was doin my random online shopin nd I came across sumthin, ah, different. Shredded chucks. Basically their black nd white converse shredded to look like sandal sneakers with a deconstructed look. I have to admit they r cool but not worth the price. They were being sold at free people nd were originally $130 then went on sale 4 $70. Personally i'd just do that myself wit a old pair or spend $40 insted of $70 nd do that but i guess im not "the wave". Anyways you can do this urself by cutting strap sections each silver hole thing, just look at the pic nd copy. I did it nd it came out the same.
if ur horrible at cutten nd wanna spend the extra cash buy em here:
